The book Rudžer Bošković – Materials, Book I represents one of the most significant works dedicated to the research of the life and work of Rudžer Josip Bošković (1711–1787), one of the most prominent scholars of Croatian and European history. Deanović on eleven of Bošković's letters from France, which provides valuable insight into the scholar's contacts and activities in European intellectual circles. J. Torbarina analyzes Bošković's connections with English writers and his place in the cultural environment of the time. The most extensive part of the book is the study by B. Truhelka, which traces Bošković's life path through several chapters – from his youth and first scientific works, through his stay in Milan, to the last years of his life.
