Marija Valtorta

"Come, I Have Something to Tell You" is one of the popular collections of spiritual reflections and messages by Maria Valtorta (1897–1961), an Italian mystic and visionary known for her extensive work "The Gospel as Revealed to Me."

This book contains a selection of intimate, personal encounters of the soul with Jesus – short, deeply emotional dialogues and messages that Valtorta receives in visions or interior discourses. The title evokes Jesus’ call to the soul: “Come, I have something to say to you” – as if the Lord wanted to speak personally to each reader, revealing the secrets of love, forgiveness, suffering and salvation.

The texts are structured as conversations: Jesus speaks to the soul about its weakness, the need for penance, the power of prayer, the joy in suffering, and Mary as Mother and Mediatrix. The messages are full of tenderness, but also demanding – they call for complete surrender, renunciation of the worldly and living in love for God and neighbor.

The book is part of Valtorta’s “minor” spiritual prose (along with “Souls-Victims”, “The Splendor of His Being”, “Who Loves More…”), intended for the spiritual edification of believers. The style is simple, lyrical, intimate – like a private correspondence between Jesus and the soul. Readers experience it as a comfort in times of crisis, an encouragement to prayer and deep reflection on the Gospel.

In the Croatian edition, it is often used for spiritual exercises, adoration or personal meditation – a small but powerful book that invites: "Come, listen... I have something important to tell you."
