Mormonova knjiga

Joseph Smith

„Izveštaj napisan rukom Mormona na pločama uzetim sa ploča Nefijaca.“

Objavio ga je Džozef Smit 1830. Prema Smitovim tvrdnjama, on je preveo Mormonovu knjigu sa zlatnih ploča, koje mu je dao anđeo Moroni 1827. godine, dok je prema mišljenju većine ne-mormonskih naučnika, knjigu napisao sam Smit. Mormonova knjiga sadrži tekstove o judeo-hrišćanskoj civilizaciji koja je postojala od 600. godine pre nove ere. Kr. postojao na tlu Amerike i koji je u 5. veku uništili paganski američki Indijanci. Arheolozi nisu pronašli tragove postojanja takve civilizacije. Prema tvrdnjama iz Mormonove knjige, nakon vaskrsenja, Isus Hrist se pojavio na tlu Amerike, gde je propovedao pripadnicima te civilizacije. Druge hrišćanske crkve ne priznaju Mormonovu knjigu.
