U zlopolju

The action takes place in the remote Zlopolje region – a mountainous area of ​​Dalmatia, where the brigade undergoes combat operations, technical obstacles and human destinies. Through a series of reports and chronicles, the author provides direct descriptions: from the conflict with the occupier, through the organizational formation of the unit, to the battles to conquer key positions. The focus is on the courage, determination and suffering of the Partisan fighters.

Grgurević also uses the book as documentary material – he lists the number of people, weapons, logistical challenges and geographical conditions of Zlopolje.
