Intensively practicing Hinduism, including mantras and transcendental experiences, Maharaj becomes a respected leader in his community. However, over time, he begins to see contradictions in Hinduism, such as the emptiness he feels despite his spiritual powers.
Doubts lead him to search for true meaning, and the crucial moment comes when he meets Christianity.
