It is especially the result of an education in Boston (USA), which the first author conducted in the organization of the American Neurological Society, and which related to neuroinfections. The book is intended for students, primary care physicians, postgraduate students in various branches of medicine, and residents. The most elementary factors related to etiology, pathophysiology, clinical picture, pathology, diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis are discussed here. The most basic laboratory tests of cerebrospinal fluid related to neuroinfections are also discussed. The aim of this manual is for the doctor to learn from it to recognize sometimes very serious infections and refer the patient to the infectious diseases department, where he will receive appropriate health care and treatment.
