The work Croatian prose of Bosnia and Herzegovina (from Matija Divković to the present day) represents a comprehensive literary and historical overview of Croatian prose created in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from the 17th century to the present day. The editor systematically presents the development of literary forms, thematic orientations and language variants, starting with Matija Divković, the founder of literature in the vernacular, whose works marked the beginning of Croatian literary presence in Bosnia.

In the following periods, important authors and poetic movements are discussed: from the enlightenment and romantic attempts of the 19th century, through the realistic and modernist tradition to post-war and contemporary literature. Special attention is paid to writers such as Ivan Frano Jukić, fra Grgo Martić, Pero Slijepčević, Ivan Lovrenović, Mile Stojić, Jurica Pavlović, Josip Mlakić, Marinko Jajce and others, whose prose formed the basis of the cultural identity of the Croatian community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The book also explores thematic frameworks – the relationship between homeland and exile, history and memory, faith and reality, and shows how the Bosnian-Herzegovinian space is simultaneously experienced as a home and a spiritual challenge in Croatian literature. The language and style of analysis are a combination of scholarly precision and reader accessibility, which makes the work a valuable reference book for both literary experts and a wider cultural audience.
