Lope de Aguirre - Princ slobode

Lope de Aguirre - Princ slobode

Miguel Otero Silva

Lope de Aguirre, Princ slobode je odraz postojanja american zajednice and stvaranja velike individualne figure koja u svijetu krvi i prijestupa poprima proporcije pjesničke alegorije.

Lope de Aguirre, Prince of Liberty is not only a new literary interpretation of one of the most controversial and unique figures in the history of the Spanish conquistadors in America, but also an unprecedented vision of important areas of American life and a strongly original novel creation that is inserted into the full maturity of the author's writing. Based on the certain fact that Bolívar sponsored the spread of the Brief Rebellion directed by Lope de Aguirre to King Philip II of Spain, Otero Silva presented the unusual Spanish conqueror, the rebel against his monarch, as a fiery and prophetic figure who heralds the destiny of the liberators and is at the very root of the foundations of the Indian independence movement. An extreme variety of techniques - from dramatic dialogue to objective narration to inner monologue - illuminates this narrative of dark and hallucinatory poetic violence, which took us from the darkness of dark days on the Iberian Peninsula to the rise of liberating rebellion in the heart of the new world.
