Doprinos branioca istini u krivičnom postupku
The author analyzes the role of the defense attorney not only as a protector of the rights of the accused, but also as an active participant in the process of establishing the truth, which is the basic goal of every criminal procedure.
The key thesis of the book is that the defense attorney, although formally "on the side" of the accused, also has a social responsibility – to contribute to the objective and legal course of the proceedings. This means that the defense attorney is not only there to find loopholes in the indictment or to use legal tricks, but also to help get to the material truth through his actions (specifically: by asking questions, presenting evidence, criticizing the actions of the prosecution and the court).
