The book exudes a high concentration of psychiatric thought, thought about general psychopathology, the most exciting psychiatric reading from which everything in psychiatry begins and with which everything ends.
We could say that psychopathology is psychiatric propaedeutics. Namely, all psychiatric symptoms and signs that, in different constellations, constitute various psychiatric diagnostic categories are described here. Psychiatric diagnostic categories are part of trends and classifications that are changeable. However, the content of psychopathology remains permanent, unchangeable, like a thesaurus or a kind of dowry for a future classification from which individual psychiatric disorders and diagnostic categories will arise again, in which the content of general psychopathology is only packaged in a new guise. Thus, General Psychopathology is a part of psychiatry that is a classic, never outdated. General Psychopathology resists time and trends, it is permanent.
