Građansko pravo: Opći dio, stvarno pravo, obvezno i nasljedno pravo

Martin Vedriš, Petar Klarić

A comprehensive textbook covering the fundamental branches of Croatian civil law. The book is written in a clear and accessible style, with numerous practical examples, making it useful not only for law students, but also for practicing lawyers.

In the section on the general part of civil law, the authors elaborate on basic legal concepts, principles, sources of law, legal affairs, capacity and personality of subjects, and legal effects in civil law relations.

In the segment on real law, possession, ownership rights, real rights to another's property (easements, liens, building rights, etc.) and land registry law are thoroughly discussed, with an emphasis on the importance of the Act on Property and Other Real Rights.

Obligatory law is presented through a general part (origin, change and termination of obligations) and a special part with the elaboration of contractual relationships such as purchase and sale, lease, loan, donation and liability for damage, all in accordance with the current Obligatory Relations Act.

The section on inheritance law deals with statutory and testamentary inheritance, the necessary part, inheritance contracts and the rules of inheritance law procedure, based on the Inheritance Act.

This textbook combines theory and practice and, through up-to-date legal sources, case law, and an accessible style, makes civil law understandable and applicable.
