Svih sedam valova

Svih sedam valova

Daniel Glattauer

You know the love story where two people who have never met fall in love with each other over email? The story of Emmi and Lea deserves a chance for a different ending.

After a break in communication in the first part, Emmi and Leo resume correspondence, trying to clarify their feelings and confront the obstacles that stand between them. The story takes place in a virtual space, where their emails reveal emotional depth, insecurities, but also humor and wit. Emmi is still married, while Leo is trying to build a new life after returning from America. Their correspondence becomes increasingly passionate, but also complicated, as they struggle with questions of love, loyalty and the possibility of a future together. Glattauer masterfully depicts the dynamics of modern relationships, exploring how virtual communication can simultaneously connect and separate people. The novel examines whether love can survive in words alone or requires a real encounter, as Emmi and Leo approach the final decision about their fate. The work is permeated with emotion, subtle irony and tension, making it a compelling portrayal of love in the digital age.
