Josip Depolo

Joko (Ivan) Knežević (1908-1988) belonged to the Split painting circle.

Along with easel painting, he made mosaics - among which the most important is a cycle of portraits, marquetry, tapestries, frescoes and sculpture. The painting expression is influenced by post-impressionism and expressionism. The monograph contains reproductions of the painter's works, an introductory study of Josip Depol, a list of Joka's exhibitions, a bibliography of his works, a biography and photos from his private life.
