Zato me niste razumjeli: Minute (ženske) mudrosti
In the book, the author brings short, sharp and emotional thoughts about love, partings, betrayals, friendship and life lessons. Witty, bitter and sincerely feminine miniatures created from everyday life.
The book is the debut of Elizabeth Suzana Kozina, an entrepreneur, designer and creative person from Klis, known for her bag brand BiArtis (one of her bags is in the Bag Museum in Amsterdam).
The book contains hundreds of short minutes of wisdom – concise thoughts, aphorisms and life insights that the author began publishing on Facebook in 2016. They were created from personal experience, everyday emotions and observations of life around her. The themes are universally female, but recognizable to everyone: love and love desire, partings, betrayals of friends and partners, loneliness, settling life's accounts, admiration for children, spring and youth, strength, vulnerability, jealousy, charisma and power.
Each piece of wisdom fits into two or three sentences or even a single sentence – short, precise and powerful. Some are witty and ironic, some bitter or comforting, but all are sincere and authentic. Encouraged by the positive reactions of her followers on social media, Kozina decided to gather her thoughts into a book. The foreword was written by writer Kata Mijić (Kate Mitchell).
Elizabeth Suzana Kozina is known as an energetic, temperamental and creative woman – a designer, humanitarian (active in projects in Rwanda and Africa), mother and entrepreneur. Her writing style reflects her attitude to life: open, direct and courageous. The book quickly found an audience among women who recognized themselves in her words, but also among men who found themselves in the “Vikings” of her love wisdom.
The book format is elegant, with wisdom printed in gold letters, and her project BiArtis is also presented on the cover and inside. That's why you didn't understand me is a small but powerful book for quick reading and flipping through – ideal as a gift, daily inspiration or comfort in difficult moments. The author published the sequel in the book Blokiraj se sama (2018). Today she is considered a modern women's classic of short wisdom prose in Croatian literature.
