The poems from the collection Secrets of Carved Names – as a combination of lyrical, dramatic, and narrative – bring forth such imagined stories about these women, about the possibilities of how they could have lived.
"I noticed, attracted by the beauty and sometimes mystery of these names, how these women lived relatively short lives. It happened that I wanted to write a poem about each name that seduced me in some way. No fate is true, there is no connection of identity, the stories are my reconstruction, but they seem to me to be universal in the way they speak about the fate of women in that period, about their possible occupations, social roles and fate in society, family and in the whirlwind of turbulent times, but also about their longings, unrealized and realized emotional and erotic life, hopes, tragedies and moments of happiness," is the author's note about her new collection.
