I've Been Expecting You

I've Been Expecting You

Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams' second studio album from 1998. The CD release brings the peak of the Brit-pop era and timeless hits like "Millennium", "No Regrets" and "Strong".

Released in October 1998 on Chrysalis Records, I've Been Expecting You is Robbie Williams' second studio album and the release that definitively established him as the UK's leading male pop star. Following the success of his debut Life Thru a Lens, this album brings an even more confident, mature and sonically opulent approach to the Britpop and symphonic pop-rock of the late 1990s.

The album features a series of anthological singles that marked the period. The central theme of the release is his first solo number one in the UK charts, the megahit "Millennium", recognizable by its string sample from the James Bond theme (You Only Live Twice). Other standouts include the emotionally powerful "No Regrets" (featuring Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys and Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy), the spirited "Strong" and the touching ballad "She's The One". The writing and production work is entirely signed by Williams and his key collaborator Guy Chambers.

Multi-platinum and critically acclaimed, I've Been Expecting You is a must-have CD for all collectors of 90s pop-rock music and a must-read in Robbie Williams' discography.
