Abortion – A Drama of Conscience is a moral-theological and bioethical book in which the author, a Catholic priest and professor of moral theology, considers the problem of intentional abortion.
Matulić argues that human life begins at the moment of conception and that abortion is the intentional killing of an innocent human being. The book is based on scientific (embryological), philosophical, theological and legal arguments, and was written in the context of public debates about abortion law in Croatia in the 1990s. It has subsequently undergone revised editions.
