Najpoznatije latinske izreke i poslovice

Najpoznatije latinske izreke i poslovice

Iva Novak

This book is intended for all lovers of Latin sayings and proverbs (dicta et sententiae).

So that it could be used by those who did not study Latin, or their knowledge of that language is deficient, the traditional pronunciation is given in parentheses for all quotations (even though the original pronunciation was classical), and the stressed vowel in polysyllabic words is marked with a graphic accent inside oblique brackets. In addition to the author's name, information about the work from which the quote was taken is also provided. In the case of quotations for which no information about the work was found, only the author is listed. If the author is not listed, it means that he is unknown.
