Released in May 1988 under the auspices of Warner Bros. Records, Out Of Order is the fifteenth studio project by British rock legend Rod Stewart. This album marked the commercial triumph and complete revitalization of his career in the late 1980s, adopting a modern, energetic pop-rock and hard rock sound enriched with striking guitar parts and Stewart's recognizable, husky vocals.
The production of the release was jointly signed by Rod Stewart himself, Bernard Edwards (bassist of the cult band Chic) and Andy Taylor (guitarist of the band Duran Duran), which gave the album the perfect balance between a solid rock rhythm and modern studio production.
