Back For Good

Back For Good

Modern Talking

Modern Talking's seventh studio album, released in 1998, marks their big comeback. The release combines re-recorded Eurodance versions of old hits and brand new songs.

The album "Back for Good", released in 1998, marks the spectacular return of the cult German pop duo Modern Talking, consisting of producer Dieter Bohlen and singer Thomas Anders. After a long break, the duo reunited and released their seventh studio album, which became one of the best-selling pop releases of the late 1990s across Europe.

The album is conceived as a combination of nostalgia and contemporary sound: it contains modern, energy-filled Eurodance remixes of their biggest hits from the 1980s, including classics such as "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", "Cheri, Cheri Lady", "Brother Louie" and "Atlantis Is Calling".

In addition to reworked versions of old hits, Modern Talking also brings four completely new songs on this release (such as "I Will Follow You" and "Don't Take Away My Heart"), which show that their recognizable authorial style and memorable choruses still work perfectly. The rap parts of American Eric Singleton on the lead singles give the album additional dynamism.

Production polished and imbued with rhythms from the end of the century, "Back for Good" is a key release in the band's discography and an indispensable part of the collection for all lovers of Euro-pop and dance music.
