Journeyman

Journeyman

Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton's eleventh studio album from 1989 brings a blend of blues-rock and modern 80s production with hits like "Bad Love" and "Pretending".

Released in November 1989, Journeyman is the eleventh studio album by English guitarist and singer-songwriter Eric Clapton. The album is considered his great return to peak form in the late 1980s, successfully combining his recognizable, rootsy blues-rock with the smooth but powerful production of the era, signed by producer Russ Titelman.

The album features an impressive array of top musicians such as George Harrison, Phil Collins, Robert Cray, Chaka Khan and Daryl Hall. The material is rich in outstanding guitar solos and infectious rhythms, giving rise to big hits such as the rocker "Pretending", the Grammy Award-winning "Bad Love", and emotional ballads and blues standards such as "Running on Faith" and "Before You Accuse Me". Clapton's vocals sound exceptionally strong here, accompanying his virtuoso guitar playing.

"Journeyman" went double platinum in the US and received exceptional praise from critics and audiences as one of the most complete and mature achievements in his rich solo career. This CD release is a must-have collector's item for all lovers of superb classic rock, blues and authentic guitar music.
