Teka 1: tekstovi/kritika

Vjeran Zuppa, Kasim Prohić, Danijel Dragojević, Bruno Popović, Milivoj Solar, Albert Goldstein, Branimir Donat, Martin Heidegger, Jean-Michel Palmier, Josip Pupačić

Teka’s inaugural issue features ten texts by Danijel Dragojević, poems from Josip Pupačić’s literary estate, and contributions by Zuppa, Solar, Heidegger and others.

The inaugural issue of Teka brings together contemporary literature, philosophy, poetics and criticism. Vjeran Zuppa examines wit, Kasim Prohić gesture and nothingness, Bruno Popović contributes four fragments on irony, and Milivoj Solar discusses paraphrase and allegorical interpretation. Further contributions include Predrag Matvejević on Gaston Bachelard’s poetics and “metaphysics of imagination,” and Branimir Donat on Croatian writing associated with Borges.

A particular highlight is Danijel Dragojević’s sequence of ten verse and prose texts, published on pages 25–31 as Iz novije kutije za lov. These include O ribama, Žena sa strane, Gađenje puno nježnosti, Hladnoća dolazi, Rječnik svetaca and Avionom iz Dubrovnika. Everyday scenes, the body, animal life and unexpected shifts of thought make the contribution especially interesting for readers tracing his poetic development.

The issue also includes three poems from Josip Pupačić’s literary estate, Heidegger’s letter to J.-M. Palmier, and Palmier’s essay on Georg Trakl. Literary contributions by Albert Goldstein and Tonko Maroević accompany an extensive review section covering poetry, language, painting and contemporary theory, together with a reference section devoted to Michel Foucault.

A substantial first issue, of interest to collectors of Croatian literary periodicals and readers of modern poetry.
