Zagor LU #166: Lord u Darkwoodu
Zagor guides English aristocrat Albert Lancaster through Darkwood in search of his missing son, while armed men wait in ambush along their route.
Lord u Darkwoodu begins with Zagor and Chico returning to America after a long journey. Before reaching their cabin, they encounter an unusual visitor at the Pleasant Point trading post: English aristocrat Albert Lancaster, Duke of Greenshire, who is searching for his missing son.
Zagor agrees to guide him through the forest, but the journey soon proves more dangerous than a passage through unfamiliar country. Armed men lie in wait along the trail. Finding the missing young man requires caution and local knowledge in a world where aristocratic rank offers little protection. A father’s concern and the threat of ambush give the adventure its immediate stakes.
Luigi Mignacco combines a western with the story of a man leaving familiar security behind to find his child. The contrast between aristocratic experience and wilderness life creates tension while allowing the travelling companions to become better acquainted. Zagor’s experience and Albert’s determination sustain their uncertain journey.
Alessandro Chiarolla illustrates the trading post, forest trails and frontier dangers. This issue opens a two-part adventure continued and concluded in Ludens #167, Ljudi s granice.
