Anilin duh

Anilin duh

Michael Ondaatje

By setting the story in Sri Lanka, between 1985 and 1990, the author brings to life this turbulent period, filled with terrifying political upheaval.

Anti-government rebels in the south and separatist guerrillas in the north have united to wage war against the government, and in response, the government has sent its own troops to deal a bloody blow to them. Anil Tissera, a young woman originally from the island, will find herself in such dramatic events. She will travel here on behalf of the Geneva Center for Human Rights to work as a forensic specialist with archaeologist Sarath on a project investigating the existence of organized murders on the island. The plot begins when Anil and Sarath find the skeleton of a young man, whose autopsy indicates that it was a murder committed by the government...
