Neugasla sjećanja

A collection of testimonies from women who survived the horrors of the Jasenovac concentration camp. The book brings the harrowing personal stories of female prisoners, who testify to the inhumane conditions, torture, and genocide in the Ustasha camp.

The collection includes testimonies from women of different ages and backgrounds, showing the diversity of victims and their suffering. They describe everyday life in the camp, hunger, disease, forced labor, brutal abuse, and the loss of family.

Special emphasis is placed on the strength and resilience of women, who, despite unbearable conditions, found ways to show solidarity with each other and preserve their humanity. The testimonies also reveal specific traumas of women, such as the loss of children and sexual violence.

The book has documentary value, preserving the memory of the victims and warning about the consequences of fascism. Through intimate stories, the importance of remembering Jasenovac as a symbol of suffering and anti-fascist struggle is emphasized. The unquenched memories remain a powerful reminder of the courage of the survivors and the need to condemn the crime.
