Masonski i okultni simboli

Cathy Burns

Dr. Cathy Burns' book is a comprehensive study that explores the symbolism present in Freemasonry, the occult, and their alleged presence in everyday life. Burns writes from a Christian perspective, warning of the spiritual dangers of occult symbols.

The book aims to uncover the hidden meanings of symbols that, according to the author, carry deep spiritual, philosophical and esoteric messages. Burns argues that symbols are "visible signs of the invisible", often associated with ancient pagan religions, occult practices and Masonic rituals, and that their meaning is not always obvious at first glance.

The book analyzes in detail symbols such as the yin-yang, circle, triangle, pentagram, hexagram, eagle, phoenix and dream net. For example, the yin-yang is associated with Taoist balance, but also with dualism in the occult; the pentagram, especially the inverted one, Burns associates with black magic and satanic rituals; while the phoenix symbolizes reincarnation, immortality and renewal, often associated with the ancient Egyptian deity Bennu. The eagle, common in Masonic emblems, is interpreted as a symbol of the sun and supreme deities in various cultures. Burns cites Masonic authors such as George H. Steinmetz and Carl Claudy, who suggest the existence of a "secret doctrine" in Freemasonry, where the true meanings of symbols are revealed only to higher levels of initiation.

The author warns that these symbols are present in modern society - in logos, jewelry, architecture, and pop culture - and that they unconsciously influence people. Particularly controversially, Burns claims that Freemasonry has hidden agendas, including alleged connections to "Jewish Freemasonry", which has drawn criticism for its anti-Semitic undertones. The book also explores the historical and philosophical roots of Freemasonry, connecting it to ancient mystery cults and esoteric traditions.
