Sve zbog jednog dječaka

Sve zbog jednog dječaka

Nick Hornby

The cult novel All About a Boy is the story of Will, a thirty-six-year-old eternal boy who leads a completely carefree, atypical adult life, and of twelve-year-old Marcus, the child of recently divorced parents.

Will is a fashionable London dandy, who tries in every way to maintain his "cool" image, an incurably lazy, incurably cynical and unnecessarily pretentious guy, an orthodox poser, who at the very thought of anything that "smells" of ordinary civil life, obligation and responsibility, gets attacks of terrible disgust. Marcus, a twelve-year-old boy, after his parents' recent divorce moved to London with his mother, has serious life doubts and a twisted sense of humor. Their paths will cross by chance, and by the time Will realizes that he is part of Marcus's infernal plan in which he is assigned the role of a surrogate father and a good match for his mother, he will already be involved in his worst nightmare - the emotional chaos of the lives of ordinary people.
