Politika kao sudbina
A contribution to the phenomenology of political suffering
In this book, Esad Ćimić analyzes the relationship between politics and the everyday life of the individual, starting from the idea that politics is not just an activity of government or institutions, but a force that deeply shapes the destiny of society and man. The author considers how political systems, ideologies and power structures affect the freedom, identity and possibilities of the individual. He particularly addresses the issue of responsibility – of both political elites and citizens – in creating social circumstances. He critically reflects on phenomena such as authoritarianism, manipulation and ideological control. Ćimić also emphasizes the importance of ethics in politics, warning of the consequences when politics becomes a means of domination instead of serving society. Through a philosophical-sociological approach, he examines whether an individual can maintain autonomy in conditions of strong political pressures.
