This is a work that, in the first person and through interconnected autobiographical fragments, describes, as Dr. Hrvoje Jurić emphasizes in the introduction, "important pages of the cultural and social history of Hrvatsko Zagorje and Croatia in their organic connection primarily with the Slovenian, but also wider South Slavic (Serbian, Bosnian and Herzegovinian, and Macedonian) neighborhood and Germany."
