Moj Osijek tone u noć

Moj Osijek tone u noć

Zorislav Vidaković

My Osijek Sinks into the Night is a collection of poems in which the author, through personal and emotional expression, depicts the city of Osijek as the central motif.

The poems are permeated with a melancholic atmosphere and a sense of transience. The city is often depicted in evening and night scenes, where everyday life is transformed into a space of memory, silence and introspection. Osijek is not only a geographical space, but also a symbol of the inner state of the lyrical subject. Through the verses, the author records personal impressions, memories and emotional moments, often connecting private experience with the urban landscape. Night in the title and poems carries the meaning of calm, but also mild sadness, nostalgia and reflection on the passing of time. The collection as a whole has an intimate and reflective effect, with an emphasis on the connection between man and city, and on observing everyday life through a poetic, subjective filter.
