The novel's author's motto is "I've always found it strange that writers have to invent things, all you have to do is listen to people's stories, destinies, secrets. Do you know, my child, that everyone in our family has a life for a novel?"
The confessions in the novel abound in plots and climaxes, and most often end in a ballad. The novel contains a whole gallery of characters and their destinies. Love is a constant motive in the novel and the cause of unusual destinies. With its themes, the novel is a kind of document of the time from the 1950s to the present day. Therefore, there is no doubt that it will attract the attention of fiction lovers, as well as literary theorists and historians.
