Nevenka Čuturić: The First Three Years of Life is a professional manual on child development at an early age.
The author, a pediatrician and psychologist specializing in child mental health and the creator of the Čuturić Development Test, describes in an accessible way the psychomotor, speech and social development of a child from birth to the age of three. The book provides developmental norms, explains what is expected in certain stages (motor skills, oculomotor skills, speech, sociability) and helps parents and experts recognize the normal course of development or possible deviations. It is illustrated (illustrations by Nevenka Macolić) and is intended for parents, educators, nurses and everyone who works with young children. It has subsequently seen new editions.
