These Days

These Days

Bon Jovi

Bon Jovi's sixth studio album from 1995. A more mature and darker rock work with timeless hits like "This Ain't A Love Song" and the title track "These Days".

Released in June 1995 on Mercury Records, These Days marked a turning point in Bon Jovi's sound and artistic maturity. This hugely successful CD takes a darker, more introspective and more mature approach to pop-rock than their earlier releases from the 1980s, focusing on deep personal and social themes, relationships and the challenges of growing up.

The album features 12 carefully crafted songs that perfectly balance energetic rock choruses with poignant, emotional ballads. Highlights of the album include the global hit "This Ain't A Love Song", the title track "These Days", and the critically acclaimed singles "Lie To Me", "Something For The Pain" and "Hey God". The production was by Peter Collins, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, creating a lush and layered soundscape imbued with Sambora's striking guitar parts and Jon Bon Jovi's vocal power.

As one of the band's most critically acclaimed albums, These Days remains an indispensable link in the group's discography and a must-have release for all fans of the superb and emotional arena-rock sound of the nineties.
