Isusovo djetinjstvo : Jakovljevo evanđelje

Isusovo djetinjstvo : Jakovljevo evanđelje

Jakob Lorber

A mystical-apocryphal account of the early life of Jesus, written according to the revelation of Jakob Lorber. The book explains Mary's childhood, the birth of Christ, the flight into Egypt, and the miracles of the young Jesus up to the age of 12.

"The Childhood of Jesus: The Gospel of James" (originally Die Jugend Jesu), one of the most famous works of the Styrian mystic and "God's scribe" Jakob Lorber, presents a comprehensive and detailed account of the hidden years of Jesus' life. Created in the 19th century using the method of inner listening (as part of the so-called "New Revelation"), the work is based on the old apocryphal Gospel of James, but greatly supplements and spiritually analyzes it, giving the reader insight into a period about which the canonical gospels provide very little information. The plot covers events from Mary's birth and upbringing in the temple, through her betrothal to Joseph, to the Immaculate Conception and the birth of Christ in Bethlehem. The largest part of the book is dedicated to the family's flight to Egypt and later life in Nazareth. Through picturesque scenes, the author describes how the young Jesus, as a boy, performs numerous miracles, teaches his household and neighbors, and gradually reveals his divine nature and mission. The daily labors of the Holy Family, Joseph's righteousness, and Mary's boundless devotion are also depicted. Written in an accessible, yet sublime and mystical style, the book offers profound spiritual lessons about God's love, humility, and the nature of creation. "The Childhood of Jesus" is an extremely interesting read for lovers of Christian mysticism and apocryphal literature, providing a unique, intimate look at the Savior's upbringing.
