DOCAT – Što činiti?

DOCAT – Što činiti?

DOCAT is the official handbook and popular summary of the Church's Social Science for Youth from 2016. Through questions and answers, it encourages young people to act, do justice and actively build a fairer society.

"DOCAT – What to Do?" (published in 2016 on the occasion of World Youth Day in Krakow) is the official manual of the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church, created under the patronage of Pope Francis, published by the YOUCAT association. Designed as a direct continuation of the YOUCAT youth catechism, this manual is intended primarily for young people, but also for all who want to understand how to practically live the Christian faith through social action, justice and solidarity. The book is written in an accessible and dynamic question-and-answer format, accompanied by rich illustrations, photographs, quotations from the Holy Scriptures and statements by great thinkers, saints and church documents. Structured in twelve chapters, "DOCAT" addresses key social topics: the dignity of the human person, the family as the foundation of society, the nature and importance of human work, a just economy, politics and the common good, the preservation of creation and environmental protection, peace, international justice and the fight against poverty. The foreword to the book was written by Pope Francis himself, inviting young people to become a "walking catechism" and active participants in creating a better world. Crafted in contemporary language and attractive design, "DOCAT – What to Do?" is an extremely practical guide that translates Christian ethics into concrete actions, offering young people a reliable compass for facing the challenges of modern society.
