London Town

London Town

Wings

Wings' 1978 album "London Town" features Paul McCartney's signature pop-rock sound. The Yugoslav licensed Jugoton release features hits like "With a Little Luck."

"London Town" is the seventh studio album by the British rock band Wings, led by Paul McCartney, released in the spring of 1978. Recorded in specific conditions – partly at London's Abbey Road Studios and partly on a yacht in the Virgin Islands – the album has a relaxed, nautical and acoustically colored atmosphere. Despite changes in the lineup and the departure of certain members during the recording process, McCartney and the rest of the band managed to create diverse material that combines catchy pop, melodic rock and folk influences.

The Yugoslav licensed edition, released in 1978 by Jugoton in cooperation with MPL, allowed the domestic audience to enjoy the top-notch production and recognizable handwriting of one of the most successful authors of the 20th century. The tracklist offers a handful of memorable songs, among which the great global hit "With a Little Luck", the title track "London Town", and notable songs such as "Cafe On The Left Bank", "I've Had Enough" and "Morse Moose And The Grey Goose" stand out.

With a richly crafted visual identity and creative collaborations with Denny Laine and Linda McCartney, this release represents a pivotal moment in the late 1970s for all fans of classic rock. The superb melodies and nostalgic feel make the record a highly prized addition to any record collection.
