"Modern Corn Production" (1967), authored by the prominent agronomist and professor Dr. Josip Gotlin, is a significant professional and scientific work produced during the era of intensive agricultural modernization and mechanization in the second half of the 20th century. The book was designed to provide agronomists, agricultural technicians, and producers with a comprehensive and methodologically systematic introduction to advanced cultivation techniques for one of the most important cereal crops. In this work, the author examines all key aspects of the cultivation process in detail: from the plant's biological and physiological characteristics, the selection of suitable hybrids, and soil preparation, to proper fertilization, sowing, weed and disease control, and modern harvesting and storage methods. Special emphasis is placed on the application of new agrotechnical measures and mechanization, which at the time enabled a dramatic increase in yields per hectare.
