Velika ilustrirana Biblija
A richly illustrated exploration of stories, places and events from the Old and New Testaments, connecting biblical narratives with art, photography and historical context.
Velika ilustrirana Biblija (The Great Illustrated Bible), with text by Gianni Guadalupi, guides readers through stories, places and events from the Old and New Testaments. It connects biblical narratives with the landscapes, historical circumstances and cultural heritage of the regions where biblical traditions developed.
The book retells events in a concise form, drawing on biblical texts, written sources, tradition and archaeological research. It follows familiar biblical figures and explores the world of their journeys, beliefs and trials.
A distinctive feature is its wealth of artwork and photography. Works of art depicting biblical themes and photographs of places associated with the stories create a visual link between ancient narratives and the landscapes that preserve their memory.
This volume will appeal to readers interested in the Bible, religious history, art and cultural heritage, and to anyone wishing to explore the biblical world through words and images.
