From the title of this novel, one would expect a humorous work, a personal history of a funny guy and his experiences; all that fruitless troubadour of this "eternal Judas" love and marriage of Šamika Kirić, however, is not happy at all.
The failed marriage attempts of a "galantom" from Malivaro spread into a large and dark picture of the social type; and the novel became a picture of a diseased environment, a social document of a higher order and a greater purpose. That novel vividly and vividly describes the decline of the bourgeois class in Saint-Andreja, and one can say also of the Serbian citizenry in Southern Hungary, which once meant so much and which nationally and socially fell so.
