Veli Jože is a literary work by the Croatian writer Vladimir Nazor from 1908. The main character is the brave and good giant Jože, "strong as a bull, with a bushy head", who lives in the vicinity of the Istrian town of Motovun.
The second edition of Kiklop, a masterpiece of Croatian literature. Set in pre-war Zagreb, the novel follows Melkior Tresić, an intellectual and theater critic, whose life falls apart under the pressure of personal and social crises.
This novel has a largely autobiographical character, and the main character is Kruno, a blind author who writes about blind people.
