Rashomon confession about the love of a Russian actress and a Croatian diplomat
The story is set in medieval Zagreb and deals with the conflict between love and cruel justice. The plot follows a young girl, Janja, whose beloved, Jurko, is unjustly convicted and executed on the false charge of murdering the son of a prominent citizen.
The story was published by Mijat Stojanović in his book Folk Tales and Poems, published in 1867. Along with it, Stojanović noted: "In Samac from the merchant Marko from Kobaš, grad. krajina year 1835."
The collection of poems Koralj vračun moru by Vesna Parun represents a selection from her rich poetic opus. It was edited by Vlatko Pavletić and covers the period from the 1950s to the 1960s.
