"Više nego ljudski" Sturgenovo je remek-djelo i jedno od klasičnih djela SF-a.

U ovom romanu su okupljeni svi glavni motivi njegova opusa. Grupa različito parapsihološki nadarene djece formiraju Homo gestalt, evolucionog potomka homo sapiensa, koji je kao cjelina "veći" od zbroja pojedinačnih djelova. Nisu, međutim, parapsihološke moći djece glavni razlog njihovoga okupljanja u jedan "više nego ljudski" entitet, nego je to lišenost ljubavi, koju su trpjeli kao zasebna bića. Ali problem odnosa s "drugima", gdje su drugi postali cijelo inferiorno čovječanstvo, time nije riješen nego je samo podignut na jednu višu razinu.
