Zagor LU #364: Začarana šuma

Začarana šuma (The Enchanted Forest) concludes the struggle for Golnor. Its last free defenders have taken refuge in Verdambra Forest, but the Black Lord’s trolls are preparing to attack. Alongside them march members of Golnor’s other peoples, enslaved by the terrible spell of two sorcerers. The heroes must confront the very people they hope to liberate.

Enchanted Riol, Elves, Parvol and Red Men have been turned into instruments of conquest. Defending the forest therefore means resisting former allies as well as hostile creatures. When the fire-bearing Windraax descend from the sky, defeat seems imminent. Zagor and Queen Lara respond with a desperate venture towards the tyrant’s Black Castle.

Luigi Mignacco combines the siege of a final refuge with a dangerous mission into enemy territory. The loss of free will gives the conflict a disturbing dimension: destroying the opposing army cannot be the same as saving Golnor.

Giuliano Piccininno depicts the fantastic creatures, woodland battlefield and aerial menace. Following Sjene nad Golnorom and Družina odvažnih, this final chapter brings the adventure to its climax, with the survival of an entire world resting on its remaining defenders.
