"It was one night on the Adriatic" is a novel by the Serbian writer Milica Jakovljević, known under the pseudonym Mir-Jam, which was first published in 1935.
The novel is about love that develops during a vacation on the Adriatic, and the central event of the novel is a romantic story that takes place in an idyllic resort, full of flying passions and summer loves. The story begins when Ivana, a young and beautiful girl, comes on vacation with her parents. Through the story of Ivana and Marko, Mir-Jam explores the emotions and dilemmas that come with youthful love, but also with the problems that arise when desires and reality are not fully aligned.
