Lajos Zilahy
Mađarski pisac (Nagiszalonta, 27. mart 1891 – Novi Sad, 1. decembar 1974), diplomirani pravnik, radio kao advokat; od početka 1920-ih potpuno se posvetio književnosti. Od 1947. živeo je u SAD, a od početka 1970-ih do smrti u Jugoslaviji. Njegovi romani, u kojima kombinuje romantičnu basnu sa realističkom narativnom tradicijom i blagom društvenom kritikom, postali su popularni širom sveta. Najpoznatije su: Proleće smrti (Halalos tavasz, 1922), Dva zatvorenika (Ket fogoli, 1926), Osveta oružja (A zagvalek vissaneznek, 1936), Dukajevi (A Dukai csalad, 1968).
