Agatha Christie
Agata Kristi (15. septembar 1890 — 12. januar 1976) je bila britanska spisateljica, najpoznatija kao „Kraljica kriminalističke fantastike”. Rođena u Torkiju u Engleskoj, napisala je preko 80 romana, drama i zbirki priča, a njena dela su prevedena na više od 100 jezika, što je čini jednom od najprodavanijih autora svih vremena.
Njen prvi roman, Misteriozni incident u Stajlsu (1920), predstavio je poznatog detektiva Herkula Poaroa, koji će postati jedan od najpoznatijih likova detektivske fantastike. Još jedan poznati lik koji je stvorila bila je gospođica Marpl, mudra i pronicljiva starica iz sela.
Među njenim najpoznatijim delima su Ubistvo u Orijent ekspresu, Deset crnaca (kasnije poznatih kao I niko ne ostaje) i Smrt na Nilu. Njene zaplete su poznate po zamršenim misterijama, iznenađujućim obrtima i logičnom zaključivanju.
Kristi je i autor najdugovječnije pozorišne predstave u istoriji Mišolovka, koja se neprekidno izvodi u Londonu od 1952. godine.
Tokom Drugog svetskog rata radila je kao farmaceut, što joj je pomoglo u realističnom prikazivanju otrova u svojim romanima. Njena dela su i danas izuzetno popularna, a mnoga su adaptirana u filmove i serije.
