Aristotelova etika

Aristotelova etika

Željko Senković

The book "Aristotle's Ethics" opens up many questions about the human habitus, its construction and disposition.

First of all, it is about finding the horizon of the right measure, balancing emotions and making prudent decisions. How to get there, and what ethos, orthos logos, phronesis and other key terms are in his ethical discussion, should be explored again and again in a dialogue with Aristotle. Despite the difference in many features of Aristotle's age from contemporary culture, his assumptions about the nature, goal and methods of ethics are applicable in our time as well. Moreover, since his analysis focuses on characters, actions and feelings, Aristotle's ethics can be relevant in every historical period, because it is necessary to persist in the aporia: what should we actually do?
