The book belongs to the realistic, sometimes brutally realistic prose of the second half of the 20th century.
The collection consists of several independent stories that depict the daily life of ordinary people in Bosnia and Herzegovina (mainly in urban and rural areas of Sarajevo and its surroundings). Trifković masterfully describes the psychological depths of the characters, their internal conflicts, frustrations, small joys and absurdities of everyday life. Trifković's style is precise, linguistically rich (with a Bosnian flavor), with an emphasis on dialogues and internal monologues. His stories often radiate melancholy, but also subtle humor, describing the "shadowy sides of the human mind" and the ordinary doubts of the average person.
