The novel is a typical proof that our (tragic) biography is our best topic. The power of this book is in its subtlety to show what goes beyond our ability to process such grief. Not mentioning the town that is the central motif of the entire book in a single word, the author writes a book about what goes beyond the linguistic experience of our literature and overcomes the inexpressibility of the subject itself.
