The textbook is divided into six thematic units (one for each "cycle" during the school year) and addresses fundamental issues of faith intended for fifteen-year-olds who are just entering high school.
Echo of the Soul is the official religious education textbook for the first year of secondary schools in the Republic of Croatia (approved by the Ministry of Science and Education and the Croatian Bishops' Conference). The author is Prof. Dr. Sc. Marko Pranjić, a long-time professor of religious education and theologian. Echo of the Soul has been the most widely used religious education textbook for the first year of secondary schools in Croatia since the 2010s. Although it is an official school material, many students and religious education teachers praise it for its modern approach, beautiful design, and current issues it addresses.
